The government is offering additional funding to support Holocaust education.

The Government has provided funding to support the Holocaust Educational Trust's Lessons from Auschwitz Course that will enable two students from every school in the UK to visit Auschwitz.
The £1.5m commitment was made by Gordon Brown, Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Previously an average of 400 students a year travel to Poland and this is set to grow to over 6000 a year.
I generally support this as it will allow schools in the UK to send two students to see for themselves what happens when humans are not tolerant of each other and what happens when people becoming hateful.
But at the same time, we must make sure that such a trip does not just focus on Jewish suffering as others also perished in Auschwitz and such a visit, if it is to be useful to the wider society needs to reflect on everyone.
