Good to see some more interfaith dialogue going on between the Jewish and Muslim community. This time, it's in Glasgow, Scotland where as part of an interfaith week.
The Jewish Telegraph reports:
Rabbi Moshe Rubin led a discussion with the imam of Glasgow's Grand Central Mosque at Giffnock Synagogue to celebrate Scottish Interfaith Week. Also present among the 50 guests were Provost Betty Cunningham, council leader Jim Fletcher, Scottish Interfaith Council chairman Diane Wolfson and director Maureen Seir.
Speakers included Dr Kenneth Collins, of Glasgow Jewish Representative Council, and Shakeel Ali, who said he had not been sure about the idea of such a festive event. But having met Rabbi Rubin and other Jewish representatives, he was convinced of the need for such events. He noted the similarity between Muslim and the Jewish traditions and languages.
Let's hope that rather than focus on interfaith dialogue during the week, that this will improve and enhance relations throughout the year. The week should be a focus point, but we need to make more of good relations every day and not just one week in a whole year.

Cool post. I think I’ll get the Magic of Making Up!!!!
