The frum community in Stamford Hill, north London are being encouraged to get into recycling.
Via Points of Jew sister site SomethingJewish, I've been invited by Hackney Council to a night of recycling information aimed at the Jewish community on November 8 from 5pm to 7pm.
As part of our Recycling for Everyone initiative we are working with community and faith groups in the borough to encourage residents from Hackney’s ethnically diverse communities to recycle more. Our Jewish campaign, run in partnership with the Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregation, aims to increase recycling awareness and participation within the Jewish community.
This campaign promises to be a trendsetter for recycling promotions within Jewish communities all across the country as well as similar initiatives involving other community groups.
The event takes place at the Banner Community Centre, 91-93, Stamford Hill, N16 5TP
And of course, in order to encourage us Jews to attend, there will be some light refreshments on offer.
