Muslim Peer, Baroness Falkner of Margravine is give a talk on civil liberties at the Liberal Jewish Synagogue (LJS) in St John's Wood in London.
The event on November 3rd, is being aimed at young Liberal Jews in their 20s and is part of an overall series of events under the umbrella 'Ideas Cafe'.
"The point of the ‘Ideas Café’ is to encourage young professionals to examine current affairs and share their intellectual ideas, as well as socialise with each other," said LJS rabbi Kathleen de Magtige-Middleton.

Well, like half a bottle of gin, that'll be a short night. Won't have to call out the riot squad for that one. Why ever is she bothering? She doesn't usually require her audiences to agree with her in prostrate supplication. Why is anyone bothering? Let's face it, the massed ranks of Liberal Jewry already hold her views - the few beleaguered, battered and bullied individuals who do not subscribe to the John Rayner School of Jewish Self-Loathing will have long since donned their kippot and wandered out into the night, saying they might be some time, never to return. What are they trying to achieve? A pleasant evening of self-congratulatory inter-faith dialogue at being the only civilized people on the planet? I'm tempted to turn up just to watch their smug faces but on seconds thoughts, I'm circumcised and just wouldn't fit in at all. Never mind, another time perhaps.
