Jewish groups don't want your money? So what's the catch?
Well, if you've got a few hours to spare on November 6, you can get to meet and find out how you can help a number of Jewish groups.
Organised in association with the Jewish Community Centre for London, Mitzvah Day is a good idea to introduce the public to the work these groups do.
From the JCCfL website:
This is a chance to make a meaningful contribution to a charity that doesn’t involve money. We want your time. On just one day (November 6), here are some of the possible activities: making quilts for abused women; singing at an old people’s home; packing clothes in a charity warehouse; clear a garden: and children could help out making cards.
A good idea and something the community should try and get involved in.
